Manifest 2021 Design Showcase Identity

Manifest is an annual street festival hosted by Columbia College Chicago to highlight the work of its graduating seniors. Every year, select designers work to create the identity for the Design Department’s showcase. My fellow designers, Irina Goldman, Jaime Cisneros, Carlo Ruiz, Elsa Brydalski and myself worked together to create an identity that encompassed the unique aspects of the entire Design Department at Columbia College Chicago.

The title treatment for the identity is presented in a dynamic geometric typeface. The typeface represents the bold uniqueness of each Columbia student. The minimalist color palette represents the organized efficiency of the college. The pop of blue in the identity represents the fun and outgoing personality of the student body.

Each program within the Design Department were represented separately with their own title treatments.

The Manifest 2021 website is a collaborative effort. We asked students to send us their submissions and worked together to plug them into our site as quickly as possible. We worked with a hosting platform to create the best curation of projects. See the site here.
